It has come to the attention of JKA HQ that some former JKA instructors who have been separated from the organization are still publicly claiming to be JKA members in good standing. And further, that they are fabricating their Dan rankings. For example, Keigo Abe in Japan has been expelled from JKA, and therefore has lost his JKA Dan ranking. But he is still publicly presenting himself as an instructor with a valid JKA Dan ranking, claiming 8th Dan. In fact, however, at the time of his expulsion from JKA, Abe was actually 7th Dan.

To confirm that your instructor is in fact a certified JKA instructor, and does indeed possess the JKA Dan ranking he or she claims, please check the JKA website. Or directly contact JKA HQ.  Please be advised that JKA HQ is prepared to take whatever action is necessary to stop all this activity on the part of fraudulent instructors and organizations!
